I was a good customer of Barcelos ikeja gra when they were located at Isaac John street until Barcelos opened in surulere which is nearer to my office. At first the service and food were ok. It was nothing near the quality of Isaac John but it could pass. But recently food and service have deteriorated - tired pastries, tasteless unmarinated meat and poultry, cut down portions, mising peri sauces and forcing cheap tomato ketchup on customers, strands of human hair in the food and sometimes in the sauce. Once I found a light insect in my salad classic. Regrettably when you complain gently they say "sorry sir". When you complain assertively they'll tell you that they don't have what you want while they serve the same order to someone else. Since Barcelos in gra ikeja has since moved further away from me, I now patronize chicken republic where I don't have to climb a mountain of stairs, where parking is free, where service is good and on top of that where the food is clean. I wish Barcelos in leisure mall well and hope they improve.
