    I won a Valentine’s Day giveaway three course meal dinner for two at Insignia Restaurant courtesy @TukeMorgan and @Ofadaa.com. I had heard a lot of good reviews about the place so I was so excited I won. I realized I had classes throughout that day so there was no way I was going to make it. I decided to book the dinner for my parents. I really hyped the restaurant when I told them about the dinner so my parents were excited and really looking forward to it. So this is what they had to say about it;

    They got there right on time and were warmly welcomed by the staff. My mum loved the scenery and atmosphere. The tables were decorated with petals to show the valentine spirit. For starters, my dad ordered the shrimp soup and my mum ordered salmon with tony vegetables. The food tasted nice but they were not too happy that they did not get bread or any other sides to eat with the starter (or maybe they do not give sides, I am not sure). For the main course my dad ordered the roasted lamb and sauce while my mum had salmon fish and sauce. My dad also mentioned that the lamb had more bones than meat LOL. Again there was no option of rice or chips by the side hence the food was not as filling as they hoped. The wine was great and of good quality.

    They complained that they was a delay in serving the food but I guess that was due to the number of people in the restaurant. They ran out of dessert and my parents were told to wait for 30 minutes to get dessert, at this time it was 8.30pm so they could not wait and had to leave. Overall, it was a nice environment with friendly restaurants though the issue of delay and small food portion with no sides. It was a great opportunity for my parents to go out and spend time alone on Valentine’s Day :)

    Thank you Ofadaa.com, TukeMorgan and Insignia x
