So the folks at The Little Diner Gwarinpa followed us on IG so after looking through their pictures, I decided to check them out plus the fact that Abuja really needs a legit wings spot. Most of the wings I have had have been struggle (aside from Zanzibar and maybe Blu Cabana) and too bloody expensive. Anyway, they are located right opposite Game City off 1st avenue in Gwarinpa. I kind of expected them to be in a plaza but they have a little shop on the street,
The Little Diner should really be called The Mini Diner or the Tiny Diner lol. I don’t think five people can fit in there comfortably.
Anyway, I ordered the BBQ wings (5 piece) and sweet potato fries for N1000. I also got an Oreo Shake (they called it a Latte) for N1000. I have never had sweet potato fries in Abuja so I was interested to see how they would turn out. The food probably took about 15 minutes to be prepared and the presentation was simple and nice. I liked the milkshake, it was just right and had bits of oreos in it, the wings were soooo good too. Tender and juicy and a decent size for the price, the fries were a bit small but well-seasoned and spicy.
Service was quite good as well and although they have only been open for a couple of weeks, I am pretty sure they are going to get a lot of customers in Gwarinpa and they have delivery as well.
I want to try the spicy wings and they have a waffle burger as well. Sold!
